It won't be long before we'll all be there with snow... Isaac, Israel and I had a very fun time yesterday. We took a little trip to Flagstaff, AZ. We went to Snow-bowl. It was really fun! It didn't start off too fun! Let me just start by telling you that It's been 2 years since I last went snow boarding (for the first and only time). So yesterday was time number 2. It was also time number 2 for Israel. We decided it would be a good thing to try the little bunny hill as a warm up. ....that was a bad idea. The little bunny hill was so icy, so holy, so dirty and so small of an incline... It was awful! We were sliding around uncontrollably! I realized during this run that a helmet made me feel claustrophobic!!! OK... On to bigger hills... We then went up the lift... When trying to get off I slipped and so then pushed into him and he was forced back into his seat. I fell down on the snow and he went a few feet and then fell off the seat onto his head and the guy controlling the lift had to stop the lift for a moment to get us up and out of the way! It was pretty awful!!! Israel had to take 3 tylenol so he could continue snow boarding! I don't think that Israel will ever be willing to go up the lift with me EVER again!!! So the first hour and a half was pretty H@#*-ish!!! The rest of the time was better! The larger hill was much more enjoyable! We weren't great @ snow boarding, but we did have fun! We would both go a ways and fall and watch each other go a ways and fall! We were doing pretty good! I think the next time we go (hopefully next week) we will be way better! I'm excited to get real good! I love it!

i'll go on the lift with you anytime!!!! I ain't afraid!
Justin and I went skiing when we were dating. It was my first and LAST time to attempt such a thing. It took me four hours to get down what I thought had to be a black diamond, but Justin tells me it was just an easy slope. One of the times we were sitting on the hill and I was refusing to go any further, Justin explained to me that I was not going to get hurt. Then, right in front of us, a kid skid off the path, fell, slamed his head on a rock, and there was blood on the snow. Yeah, not gonna get hurt... right.
It was fun...I'm glad neither of you were seriously injured when we went. hahaha.
ps. i blogged before you!
fun? you want to go again? really????? Don't worry- everybody has a little bit of a rocky start. That is awesome though about the lift. I bet the guy running the lift was laughing uncontrollably!!! How is the snow there? I'm glad you tried it Steph- we'll have to go when you come up to visit me. :)
i didn't have a rocky start
Fun! I've never gone snow skiing or boarding. Nate has a snowboard, but he hasn't gotten to use it yet. I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself on the lift!
Everyone's doing it...I need to join in! I've never been and it sounds like even though everyone is so sore and falls a million times they all want to go back! Awww and Israel will go with you anytime...what a hubby! Have you figured out when to do our cousin date? Let me know what I can do!:)
Oh and I was a little surprised Brent was so willing to go to the dunes too, after wards he told me he was sooo worried about ME getting hurt since he already had his near death experience. I guess it's my turn...
